Hundreds of hanok houses climb the hill between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, and people still live in them. In KPop Demon Hunters, Rumi and Jinu first meet on these tiled roofs, and later sing "Free" above them.

Local tipIt's a residential neighborhood with visiting hours: in the busiest lanes (around Bukchon-ro 11-gil), tourists may visit only 10 am – 5 pm, with fines outside those hours. Come in the morning, keep your voice down, and look back down the slope for the classic rooftop view.
